Iranian military spokesman: Armed forces ready for any renewed Israeli aggression

Iran’s military spokesperson, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, has issued a warning that the country’s armed forces are at their highest state of readiness in the event of renewed aggression by the Israeli regime.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s military spokesperson, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, has issued a warning that the country’s armed forces are at their highest state of readiness in the event of renewed aggression by the Israeli regime.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Shekarchi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never regarded "cessation of conflict" as an acceptable option. He emphasized that Tehran harbors no trust in the Zionist regime, saying, "This regime is untrustworthy—not only for Iran but for any nation in the world."

According to Mehr, highlighting the preparedness of Iranian defense forces, Shekarchi underscored that any renewed attack from Israel would be met with a "crushing and devastating" response.

The comments came in the aftermath of the large-scale Israeli assault launched in the early hours of June 13, during which multiple Iranian military and nuclear facilities were targeted. The attack resulted in the deaths of dozens of top IRGC commanders, nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians.

In retaliation, Iran launched 22 rounds of missile strikes against Israeli targets, prompting the United States—Israel’s chief ally—to intervene diplomatically in pursuit of a ceasefire.

Despite international legal prohibitions, the United States escalated the conflict on June 22 by striking three Iranian nuclear sites, in what Tehran described as a blatant violation of the UN Charter, international law, and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

In a swift and forceful response, Iran fired missiles at the al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar—a major U.S. military installation in West Asia—on June 23, signaling its resolve against foreign aggression.
